The evil groom
The howls echoed throughout the woods. The full moon cast shadows creating the
illusion of demons staring at her.
"Why are you doing this? I've done everything you've asked of me. Now to prove
myself worthy of your love , you send me to fight my way back to you? Do you not
care that I could be eaten by the wolves? You've given me nothing to fight with
no sword, no gun, not even a knife! This is no way for a groom to treat his
bride to be!" she said through tears.
Grinning slightly, he motioned for his servants to take her away.
A blinding mist rose from the swamp. Using her hands, the bride felt her way around, stumbling and cutting her her feet and legs. Her long blonde hair matted to the tears on her face. Her breathing labored and rapid as she tried to be quite. To much noise and the wolfs would be on her without hesitation. Her once snow white brides gown was now caked in mud. Feelings of betrayal consumed her every thought! "He promised he would always love me, give me a mansion and never leave me!" The crackling of a twig sent her running blindly towards the nearest tree. Ripping her dress off, she climbed the tree. The rough bark eating at her hands, feet and legs. Whimpering softly she climbed higher and higher, she reached the top just as the wolves gather at the tree's base. Barking, growling and showing their teeth. It was a long cold night!
The sun peeked over the tree tops, the wolves were gone. Shimmying down the tree she made her way back to the groom who stood waiting. Draped over his arm was another wedding gown. "My love, you are safe and sound! Now we can continue with our wedding."
"There will be no wedding. Everything you told me was a lie! You never loved me, I was just a trophy to you. That mansion you promised, I wouldn't have it if you gave it to me on a silver platter!" she screamed as she pushed past him and ran away. Stopping abruptly, she turned facing the groom. "Oh by the way, you won't ever leave me because I'm leaving you forever!"
