Pride, the fatal last step! There is a lot of stumbling in life. We fall, we get back up, and we slowly learn from our mistakes. Some of us have to go down that road twice. However, with time, we get the lesson being taught. Pride has its good and bad outcomes. It can make you both wise and foolish. A wise person uses his pride to show pleasing characteristics. Honor, morals, respect and gratitude. But when is pride too much? When it forces you to do something tragic. Pride will cost many their souls. A dying person will refuse to repent because they feel ashamed of waiting until the last breath. Pride says, “Don't go to the alter, what will others think? For goodness sake, don't lift your hands if asked if you need prayer. Never leave your Bible where all your friends can see it! What would they say, "Are you a Bible thumper?" Pride will keep you lying to yourself about having all the time in the world. We're not promised a tomorrow, we're one heartbeat away from eternity! For the sake of all who love you, don't let pride destroy your eternity.

When we think of pride we think of someone who is arrogant, who doesn't need God or anyone else. That thinks they are better than others. That describes someone who is self centered. That they can do no wrong or are never wrong, but when you add all this together, you get a narcissist. Doctors say that a person with a narcissistic nature can not be changed, that they are unable to change. They haven't met God. That prideful man can find himself surrendering his nature for Gods. That pride can be used to do Gods work with a wonderful outcome.
